Yeezy Gap by Balenciaga, Part 2

Yesterday was a busy day for Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), and an important day for Yeezy, Gap and Balenciaga lovers (besides, of course, it being Mother’s Day in the US).

Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband and current material in Pete Davidson’s jokes, chose this Sunday as the key day to release the music video for “Life of the Party”, a Donda song made in collaboration with André 3000 (if you haven’t heard it, it’s the perfect time to do so). The video is striking not only for the huge amount of unreleased footage it includes of the American musician’s early life, but also for the glimpse it gave us of the garments that will make up the next installment of YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA.

The images of little Ye were edited to include pieces from the second part of this historic collection and which, we now know, will hit stores on May 25: if you plan to buy it online, you can purchase it through Yeezy Gap, Mytheresa, Farfetch or LUISAVIAROMA (and you’ll have to hurry, as they’ll most likely run out fast).

Another big event this Sunday, also related to these brands, was that Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga debuted its first TV commercial (not that it needed it, considering the hype that is Kanye himself), a snippet of “Life of the Party” that aired on Fox at 9:45 p.m. (EST) during the Family Guy broadcast (the next animated family to debut a Balenciaga collection, following in the footsteps of The Simpsons? We don’t think so, but we’ll leave the idea up in the air).

Of course, while going about his daily business, Ye has continued to promote the collection, and was recently spotted at a restaurant sporting a zip-up hoodie with a front pocket printed with a miniature version of the Gap logo.

Keeping with the aesthetic shown so far by Kanye West, the second installment of Yeezy Gap by Balenciaga seems to stick with oversized garments in mostly dark shades, as we saw in the first release, which arrived in February this year.
